We're finally up & running!!!

It took me a while to get this going, but I am finally ready to start it up!!

The last week has been spent cleaning, cleaning, cleaning! I got all of the books up off the floors down all the aisles. Some of the books fit on the shelves, others were boxed and stored away for future use! Today, I finished getting the paperback westerns all shelved and organized- looks great down there!! I also moved all the boxes in the breezeway which opened it up A LOT.

The kiddos are having a blast in the book store- running up & down the aisles, interacting with customers, attempting to escape! I think we can thank the kids for a number of sales ;) Shea's favorite books are the Star Trek paperbacks. He just can't seem to leave them alone...



Yesterday Shea made a new friend out of a 6 year old boy. They sat on the floor and played 'drums' on the small wooden step stool. They threw packing peanuts through the grate into the basement. Great fun!

There are lots of customers coming in and out all day long. Some really wonderful people who just marvel at the number of books sitting on the shelves.

Our next plan of attack is the boxes of books out in the front. We're going to bring them inside & store them then we're going to paint beautiful, colorful pictures with sidewalk paint (it's washable, don't worry, Keren!!).

For now its just tidying and keeping up with the kids.
